The RCAF flew twenty HW-75 Voyageur, Stinson model 105. My High Wing Wonder will be in 1/32 scale.

Will be a nice size at 1:32. They seemed to be a good workhorse airplane.

I already have a more modern version in a 108 Voyageur. It makes up into a nice looking models.

That is a nice looking airplane. The small detail like the antenna does add to the realism.

I am really getting a great lesson on how many types the RCAF operated over the years.

I count 176 different types with counting sub-types.

Actually, I guess a lot has happened in a 100 years.

Many were one of a kind.

Things were evolving in aviation that pretty much guaranteed a short service life for many types. But when something works, they stick around for a long time as replacements are not always available or   substantially better. Take the CF 18;  It's now over 30 years as Canada's front line fighter!

Closer to 35 but yes, the Tutor is 60+ with the first being taken on strength in the early 1960s. The Mentor lasted just two years.

I forgot about the Tudor🙂. A true Canadian classic.

All components are roughly carved and await the sandpaper. Missing but also carved are the prop and wing struts.
