1/72 scale Century Series Jets - F-104G..................(Completed 29 Mar 2015)

Drawings have been scaled and printed. Wood selection will be made shortly.

Wooden pieces have been selected and templates are glued to cardboard. Carving will start shortly.

Fuselage block marked. Carving to start tomorrow. Major snow storm schedules for later tonight and all day Sunday which converts to play time.

The previous F-104 fuselage(photo above) was discarded as the side view should have been applied 90 degrees to the location I used. That made the piece of wood too narrow to carve out the top view. Another piece was cut and carved. Now for carving the top view.

Rough carved fuselage. Two brown smudges are blood. I like to pour myself into my work.

Test fit wings to fuselage.

Major components glued and sanded followed by first coat of wet primer.

Primer dried. Just a bit of filler and some sanding followed by additional primer. Tip tanks, gun fairing and bottom fin are yet to be done.

The F-104 is American but was licence built in several countries including Canada.
