Thought you might like this clip from 1940 on the Pathe website.

The models turn out pretty good for the simple tools in use.  Perhaps modelling while standing up helps!

There's also these two of post war industry building models.  I would love a 1/36 Connie!

Hopefully these links will work outside the UK.  Most of the other films appear to be flying models.
