Excellent Lou, I like the colour scheme, they start to come to life with a bit of colour. Regards Paul.

Thank you Paul. The decals are being applied and will have just the basic top wing roundel(no bottom), tail fin flashes and the fuselage code/rpoundel. I this case 428 Sqn NAU. Should be ready for photos no later than tomorrow.

Lou

Took liberty of using a smiley for the roundel.

Lou,

Your Lancaster looks great.  I plan to do one too, possibly a Dambuster but the film version so it looks a bit different!

Did you ever consider going for lighter glazing on such a dark subject, as for your Hellcat?  I found black glass on OD airframe too gloomy on my P-40 so changed it to blue.

Cheers
Will

Looks great in the case Lou, another Canadian Lanc here, http://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=102202 but this one is full size and in the UK for a visit. Regards Paul J. There are a few more posts in the airshows and events section on the forum if you are interested.

A very rare occasion that may never be repeated. Thanks for the update.

Hey Lou,

I just attended the news conference at the Alberta Aviation Museum regarding the move of the Edmonston Lancaster, back to its old one base in Edmonton.  I absolutely promise that it will be well taken care of.  An MP, and well as the RCAF 408 Base commander and the officer in charge of repairing the squadron's helicopters were there showing an impressive level of support from those outside of the I-love-airplanes fraternity.

Thinking of you today,

Take care all,

Kenny
