Sunshine means lots of painting to do-Pulling a few models towards completion

The bright sunshine and warm weather here in the UK was ideal for painting,so out came the models that were awaiting colour and I got to work in pulling them together,spent the whole day doing nothing but rattle can finishes and primering.
Here we have the first cook up that I did,the Grumman Hellcat,the Caproni Campini N1 early jet aircraft,the Heath Parasol and the latest moel the Handley Page S24 design now fitted with floats and almost ready for its final paint.
It was a golden opportunity and I am glad that the effort was worthwhile,everything is now tucked away curing ready for the final markings etc,I got through a lot of paint !

The completion of models continues with lots of painting and markings being applied by hand,here we have the Handley Page S24,Heath Parasol,Caudron Simoun and a start made on the Fairey Twin Battle,yes a productive and enjoyable day in the workshop with the glorious weather assisting the paintwork drying out,but be warned as this morning the Caudron Campini paint actually blistered in the heat of the sun so too much heat on darkish colours can cause problems.
Could not get my usual Audi silver finish so went for Ford silver mist as an alternative.
Lou you can put the ID Black Albacore,Handley Page S24 in U.S.Navy scheme and the Heath Parasol G-AFZE into the 2012 album as these are now complete.
