Historic Solid Modelling

This album came up on Ebay Uk last week - some nice photos of models made in the thirties.  I put a "winning" bid in but it was laughably low at 6.50GBP compared to the reserve which was 200GBP (around 300USD) - I asked after bids closed!  Anyway it was way beyond my budget.  The seller mostly sells photos of Hollywood stars so I think was rather optimistic about solid model history. I guess if the modeller was known it might add something.
