utube  has many vids on model building, yes it is all plastic,but i use the various techniques for solid wood too,working on a p51 d from heller in 1/72,using rub and buff for metal surfaces,and pencil lines,dont have a airbrush just old fashioned know how,got a second canopy from kit, can make a 1/72 scale solid  wood of a red tail,newer kits have plenty of extra decals,trying to blend solid with plastic for better effects.the japs are very good at this too.
