Saw an interesting YouTube from " Adam Savage builds" series. He creates a spaceship using a carved block and styrene plastic. He shows how to vacuum mold the components using his DIY vacuum forming machine. Also he carves out the mold ( buck) using a polyurethane material called Renshape
