New member saying hello!

Hello all,

I'm a new member of the group. My interest in solid models goes back to 1982 when I requested a catalog from a business in Oregon called the 1939-1945 Shop. They offered a variety of solid kits for sale. I remember ordering a kit of a Hiller Helicopter. I've collected solid kits off and on since then, but have yet to start building them. Having been a plastic kit builder since the early '70s, I figure now I have the skills (hopefully) to attempt solid models. I found some correspondence with a gentleman named John Bell recently that reignited my desire to build these wonderful links to modeling history. I look forward to exploring more on this site to learn as much as possible. Thanks for having me as a member.
