A new project to go with my 1/48 Airfix Corsair II flown by Commander Don Sheppard DFC, CD.
Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve/Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer aboard HMS Victorious. Cdr Sheppard was the only Canadian Corsair pilot to reach Ace status and was awarded a DFC.
The model: 1/48 Airfix (Otaki) built straight from the box with CanMilAir decals.
The Bofors will be part of a diorama featuring a carrier deck.
The deck is coffee-stur-sticks over a 1/8 inch plywood with a foam frame. More detailed photos to come.

I came across the thread of your 1/144 scale aircraft carrier. Is that still in the works?
I still have it but work has not peogress beyond what you see.

40mm twin Bofors completed, at leats as far as I am going to go with it. Construction is pine with poplar dowels. The railing is Evergreen Styrene rods and bits of wire.
Deck construction is, as previously mentioned. I used honel oak stain.
