Submitted: The Junkers J-1 armored ground attack and infantry cooperation two-seater, in 1918 markings. I tried something new with this model, appropriating a technique borrowed from stick-and-tissue model-building: printing the fuselage lozenge markings on tissue paper and adhering them with washable glue-stick adhesive. It appears to have worked well, save for being a bit darker than I'd have preferred. I think I can address that next time in the image processing. One other innovation was the use of soft plastic 1/72-scale aftermarket figures for the pilot and gunner, courtesy of a product found on the internet: "Pilots of the First Wirld War" by Orion-Dark Dream Studios in Ukraine. 48 mostly related figures per box in 24 poses. Some slight alterations and painting needed, but generally satisfactory, and saves an awful lot offiddly hand-carving!

Very nice model, Jim. What is your technique for the ribbing on the wings and tail?
Painter's tape. Lots and lots of painter's tape, cut in strips about 1/16" wide and laid down parallel.
A great model of an aircraft not modelled often.
Good idea with lozenge printed on tissue.
Well Done!
Gordon
Many thanks, fellows.
Another magnificent creation.
