Cessna 310R Work In Progress
Cessna 310R model Work in Progress.  Scale: 3/8" = 1'
Fuselage is made from 3 laminated aspen boards, nacelles and wing tanks are also aspen.  Wing is mystery wood from and old dresser; tail is basswood sheet.
This photo shows the simple rig used for aligning the wings and tail surfaces.  The wing joins are strengthened with pins made from stiff wire, the wings are added and then bent up to the correct dihedral angle and glued.  Wing tank attachments are made the same way.  The model is clamped to a scrap board held in a bench vise; 
tapered wood scraps serve to hold the wings at the proper angle while the glue dries.  
A small bubble level from a hardware store is used to ensure the stabilizer  is in alignment while the glue sets; wedge shaped scrap inserted from beneath keeps the unit level.  
One nacelle is turned on its side to show the nacelle's fit on the wing.  Next holes for the prop shafts will be drilled and cooling openings will be hollowed out and the nacelles glued on.
