Cockpit construction of Fairchild 24
This shows how I create the cockpit. After carving the profile of the fuselage, I cut out the cockpit area, then add the sides back on and I can add a seat, controls, and a figure. I always add a figure. I think modelers who do not lose a whole dimension of their model. I have been trying to get my fellow modelers in my model club to do that - but few do. When I look at my model, I see the little figure in there and I can dream - "hey, that's me in there, flying that thing!" That's also why I most always add a plastic disk as if the engine is working. There is a dynamic to it - another dimension!
