This photo shows how I make spinners for airplane models.  The techinque is about the same as that used for making wheels, except a shorter screw is used to hold the work piece and the pilot hole is drilled only part way through.

Very nice "mini-lathe"! What are you using for cutting the interior/concave section of the wheels? Thanks for the pics, Kenny

I used the edge of a small wood chisel to work in the concave sections of the wheels, then smoothened them with sand paper. Jeff
