Tissue "decals"
These markings were done with tissue.  I later touched them up with hand brushing.  They are very thin and disappear with several clear coats, just like film decals.

That looks fantastic Ken. I think this low tech method is most within the character of our models. I love it!

Looks good to me. I may try it on the ID Model cook-up. Could you post a picture of your engine details.
