WACO S3HD Top

1/32 Waco S3HD from Donald W. Clark plans. From pine and basswood. Control surfaces demarcations made using a wood burner prior to painting. Wheels made from laminated styrene. Ribs & stringers made from .010" styrene strips blended in with primer and sanded. Wing numbers from masks (wing painted black, mask applied, then yellow paint), tail numbers home made decals using Micro Mark decal paper. Canopy painted Testors steel enamel. Canopy bracing made from 3M pinstripe tape cut into strips & sealed with Future floor polish. Model sprayed with rattle can clear flat spray laquer then wiped down with Son Of A Gun silicone protectant for a nice sheen. Navigation lights carved from clear colored plastic stirring sticks.
