North American NA.47 Project

The North American NA.47 project was inspired by the use of one of aircraft in the original film 'Flight of the Phoenix' when the original Phoenix was lost in the accident that claimed Paul Mantz a stand in aircraft was required for some flying shots,a brief glimpse was shown of a NA.47 that had been removed from a museum specially for the film,as can be seen from the angle here it vaguely resembled the shape of the Phoenix.
