VKA-23 Spaceplane after Sanding Sealer, Aft View

A model of the 1960 version of the VKA-23 spaceplane concept (USSR). The model is 1/72 scale and is carved from salvage wood. The wing and winglets was from a piece of packing crate!

After carving and sanding, I filled in the pores with thinned Elmers Carpenter's Filler, then sanded again before two coats of Deft lacquer sanding sealer, sanded between coats.

And although I've been told that it is too pretty to paint, I applied a coat of grey primer to it this evening.
