In Japan, the form of this plane is common.Japanese planes are pulled toward the body.I do not use the electric tool very much.There is the kind of the tool which I use a little more.

The plane is like early English wooden block planes,sometimes these appear in antique shops.

There was a pre-war block plane that look much like that which was made by EXACTO. It was a traditional western push plane though.
