Taylorcraft Auster Mk.5 April 2010 and my two Taylorcraft Auster Mk.5's after assembly,this subject is close to my heart as I used to look after one and in fact rebuilt the original aircraft back in 1961. The Auster Mk.5 had a modified Avco Lycoming ground power unit as its engine and was a rugged aircraft originally used in the early days of Army co-operation with the British forces.
