I updated all of the plans on the gallery to include in the description the file type and the size of the file.  For example:  (tiff format, 182 KB).  Also, all of the plans now have Ray's standard disclaimer and a bold notice to click for the original file size.

I've posted GIF version of the TIFF and PDF Maircraft airplane kit plans:

http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/Gallery/thumbnails.php?album=10

It's easier for most of us to edit, enlarge, or reduce non-PDF formats.  The original TIFF and PDF files are still posted so that you can try both and let us know which works best.  All of these plans are 300 dpi, black/white only (no gray).

The gallery doesn't handle PDF or TIFF that gracefully.  It can be done, but in general, an Administrator needs to make a thumbnail for the file.

May I suggest that each upload/group of uploads be announced in a separate post. Before long we will have to scroll down several pages before getting to the new information. Just a thought.

Garet just noticed your new logo. Tell us about it. As to mine, vautour translates to buzzard/vulture hence

To avoid working your way down the list. Go to the box at the bottom of the screen
entitled "Solid Model Memories.net - Info Center"
Then go to; "Recent Posts"
Select: "Re: New plan Posted"
Clicking this link will take you to the Gallery Updates board and to the position on the page
regarding the new post.

You can Also add that particular board to your mailing list by going to the tabs at the bottom of THAT particular board. You will see; "REPLY", "NOTIFY", "ADD POLL", "SEND THIS TOPIC", "PRINT".
Select "NOTIFY" and you will be emailed any time THAT specific board is updated. Simply click on the link in the email and it will take you to the new post.

If a new TOPIC is set for each update you will not have the option of being emailed each time a plan is posted. Eventually there will be a long list of topics in the update category that you will have to read to find what is in them.

I have several of the US Navy ID model plan sets, and have started a category in the gallery to store them as I scan them in.  For starters, you can see models B-1 through B-3, and I have added two of the A-series plans.

http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/Gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-700

The album (only two so far) is at:

http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/Gallery/index.php?cat=13

The images are 300 dpi Gif format, black/white image.  Some of the pattern sheets (such as B-2, the Martin PBM-1) are quite large, 11x17 inch sheets.  The image is huge, but the file is only 247 kb.  You will probably need to download the full-scale image to your local machine to view it properly.

Eagle Model plans have been updated.  Marshall sent in some scans and images of the parts.  This reminded me that I already had PDF versions of the plans from my own collection, so I posted those as well.  Actually, I think Ray has the P-47 now, but I might be mistaken.
