The other will be a Mark 1 with the Frazer Nash FN 7 turret.

Looking good. At 1/144 that should be about 10cm long?

Measures 185mm but it was to go with the Horsa I made.
There is a 1/144 Hamilcar that was partly cut out at the same time.
Managed to make up a set of decals for them.

Progressing

Thank you Paul.

Some progress with the Mk1.

Traverse ring fitted. Turret still attached to dowel. Makes it a bit easier to paint.

Some propellers cut out. Engines require scoops and exhausts . I won't be doing the flame damping (  a wee bit small).

Hope to have one if not both finished by 31 DEC.

Cheers

I wish you well on your projects. Not much time left. I was in a Christmas parade this evening so no more build time today.

I can't think of anything left to do so I'll call them finished.
There are approximations , assumptions and omissions  but as Lou says its all about satisfaction.

The Mk IV is painted to represent an aircraft of 295 Squadron in 1945.  8Z / B "Glorious Beer"is the nose art.

The Mk I is painted to represent an aircraft from 214 Squadron flown by an Australian pilot Frank Griggs. The crew were all NCO's and crashed on landing after sustaining heavy damage due to
night fighter attacks . All the crew were awarded DFM's.

Thank you Paul and Lou.

I might try another 1/144 "set" next year. I might put a limit on the number of engines though.

I picked up some vac form canopies etc.., at the model show I put some models in.
They're 1/72 . I managed to get a set for a Whitley and a Blenheim.

See what 2018 brings.

Cheers

Gordon
