Title: Putty Fillets
Post by: lastvautour on November 03, 2010, 09:12:52 PM
Some time ago someone posted an article on making fillets using wood filler. The post had a picture of the member using his finger to smooth out the concave surface of the fillet. I think it may have been on the old site. Does anyone recall?

Lou I think that was me,I use DAS modelling clay for large fillets,it really works well, what you do is work it with your fingers into the fillet area, wet your finger as it smooths out onto the wood, when done leave it to dry out then with thin cyno run a bit around the joint to lock it into place, you can sand the fillets easily with a piece of sandpaper wrapped around a round pencil or dowel,a coat of sealer or primer and it comes up beautifully.
