Second of the 'Dinky Joy' series is the Bristol Buckingham, seen here with the tiny blanks cut today.
In 1946 Dinky Toy prepared the drawings but it never got any further,I am carrying on where they left off from those original drawings, great fun.

The tail has been added and a coat of primer applied to see what the model looks like, the tiny 1=200th scale Buckmaster is another plug in this series.

I had a look at your photo spread and I am delighted at the quality of these small gems.

Thank you Lou,your kind words are well received,as you know with your carrier miniatures they test your carving skills at this size of model, miniscule is the word but what fun to achieve a shape in this scale.

Now into stage two of the project, the mould for the Bristol Buckingham is proceeding,I found that manipulating the modelling clay base was a tough job so four minutes in a microwave softened in nicely so the wings could be embedded right up to the trailing edges and at mid point around the fins.
The Dove & Hornet suffered damage from a previous disasterous experiment whereby a base of Oasis reacted with the liquid latex effectively welding it to the models,it took a lot of effort to remove them from the embedded material and a few scars to them have now been repaired ready for there use in the moulds.
