The Expeditor was started as a summer project for 2006 but has slipped to the hold list several times. i have renewed effort to complete to complete it. Several error crept in and had to be corrected. The wing tips had to be removed and new more correctly shaped one added and blended in. the leading edges became to sharp, so they were shaved down and replaced with blocks and reshaped. I hope to complete it this year.

Feb 08  end month report. Sanding, filling low spots and priming have consumed approx 6 hours this month with little progress being made. Ran out of grey primer and had to switch to white. White does not dry as well and sanding is slower. Undecided on a finish which contributes to procrastination.

Year end report 2008

I few cracks have shown up at the wing root. Putty and glue has been applied and some more sanding and priming applied. But alas this one will definitely be retained for 2009 and perhaps even 2010.

In checking the drawings against the model, I find that the engines are slung much to low. So some surgery will have to be done before moving on with this one.

The green camouflage paint has been applied and a new bottle of sky colour paint has been purchased as the old one was congealed beyond reclamation.

Decals are relatively simple having just the roundels and a black serial number. I found just two examples of camouflaged RCAF Expeditors and both were dark green. The other example has white code letter, soooooo, I picked the simple version. I also filled in the undercarriage bays and will go with wheels up and place it on a stand.

I decided to complete the Expeditor in RCAF colours. I search Wings Palette and found two profiles, one that I chose is here below. After having painted the aircraft I subsequently found out that Wings Palette had mislabelled the profile. Hence, I present my RAF Expeditor circa 1943.

No place in the article does it mention this is a 1/32 scale model.
