Lou, nice finish on the Ascender.  I have one engine carved round and need to do the same with the other.  I did some putty work on the fuselage and need to sand that.

I was distracted a bit finishing up other projects, such as the Tutor and the I-16.  Oh, wait, it's time for the October 1 ping! And I finally got my balcony put back together, with some weathersealing tape over the top of the short walls just in time for the rain that starts up again today.  I'll need to get some metal flashing on for the winter, and I'll probably wait till spring to attach the railing. My son is disappointed that we didn't get his kayak put together before the rains started up, but he helped me with the balcony and so knows what a chore it was.  We should be able to finish out his kayak in short order, though.

The Ascender is ready for roll out. To do it justice I searched and found a 1/72 tow tractor with tow bar and driver. I will finish those off sometime today and send out photo by mid day tomorrow. I have darts tonight.

Slightly off topic is a company called GS. According to questionable sources, this company is requesting royalties for anyone using their logo, even if it is not for resale. Hobbyist like me would be in trouble for reproducing without permission. I figure if it is my basement, let them come. What's your opinion Garet?

Roll out begins. Cue A Space Odyssey 2001 theme music.

Could not find anything else on line about the GS company and their refusal to allow free use of their logo. Garet will vist me behind bars?? I Hope!!

Not sure what the latest is.

The Bristol Ascender has left the hangar facility and awaits flight testing. Logo issues have yet to be resolved with GS, but I am sure that an agreement can be reached before flight time. Garet, I heard that GS is based in Seattle, so would negotiate for me to use their logo if I give them full credit?

A fun project to say the least, thanks to Garet's initiative to build the first Ascender and to share his drawings and experience.

Ha, ha!  I'm still cleaning the coffee up that I just laughed over the keyboard.  I didn't see that one coming, Lou.  I spoke with GS, and they are thrilled with your model and ask if they can print out a photo of the image to put up in their workshop.  ;)

She really came out nice; what an inspiration to actually finish my Ascender!

I somehow forgot to post photos of my Ascender Mk III. Better late than none.
