The shipyards are in full swing with much being done to USS Enterprise. The hull and lower decks pieces are completed. The flat top has been "planked" using a jeweler's saw and the defensive armament in in progress.

In the center of the lower hull piece is the the "Hornet". Surprisingly, this is a winter problem in my basement.

More pictures will be posted as soon as I regain more computer time when my son leaves next week.

Contruction of the personnel armour catwalk started with a strawberry container.

Tape (green) is placed around a section of the wood. Otherwise you will not be able to cut the flimsy materiel. I cut mine 5 cm wide and removed the tape on one side before gluing to the gun tub.

Lots of pins and patience. Sometime a section at a time must dry before gluing the rest. I used a piece of balsa as a base.

The catwalks have been installed and defensive armament is in production as well as the CV6 Airwing. A mere 73 gun barrels were made using round toothpicks.

Wow, that looks like a lot of work.  That is quite an airwing you have going together in the background!

The three major components will be assembled without glue to enable for disassembly if needed. The Air Wing is all but finished waiting for paint to dry.

USS Enterprise was launched late last night with 11 aircraft on board. She took approx 60 hours to complete.
