AirToon F-105 templates glued onto cereal box cardboard.
Lou
Spent a couple of hours this morning producing this AirToon.
Lou
Looking good Lou.
Gordon
Thank you Gordon.
Lou
Rough sanded. Still missing bottom fin.
Lou
Nearing completion.
Lou
I've always thought the engine inlets looked cool on the Thud. That probably lends itself to toons. Looks great Lou. Aluminium or camo finish?
Fraser
Thank you Fraser. It will be an aluminum finish.
Lou
Getting closer to roll out.
Lou
Roll out 21 Oct 2021. The last of the Century Series AirToons. The F-105 and F-106 are a smaller variety. I can do up two more to be closer to the others in the series or do smaller one of the other four.
Lou
Well done Lou.
Cheers
Gordon
Thank you Gordon.
Lou
Love it!
Thank you Ryan.
Lou
Looks great in the aluminum finish. A very subtle toon of the thud.
Regards
Fraser
Thank you Fraser.
Lou
Are the plans for these done up in such as way that others could also do them?
This is what I used.

Cool! Did you manipulate that yourself? I guess that might be really doable.
Yes, it was a cut, squeeze and paste operation. The vertical fin is untouched and roughly 1/72 while the rest was manipulated to get the desire effect. I am not completely satisfied and may try a do over.

It still came out quite nicely!
I have a friend who does this for a bit of cash and he lets me use his drawings for making my models. He tells me he is working on an F-105 drawings.
