Yes I have already done that and Barry says he appreciates all of your kind thoughts and best wishes,he is still taking things easy on the instructions of the specialist doctors and nurses, shortly he embarks on a course of rehabilitation which he is undertaking in his usual dedicated way an has also been placed on a pilot scheme for heart disease sufferers entailing hard work in a gymnasium to test and work on his stamina levels,he is a fighter as you all know and his determination even under negative situations is a lesson to us all.

Sure Lou,basically he has been told to rest which is what he is doing and taking things easy by the day,he mentioned to me that at the moment his stamina levels are low which apparently is quite normal, what they are doing is to wait for the trauma of what he has been through before doing the tests which involve a tiny camera in the right arm, then they will know if any further intervention is needed.
I have seen some of the drawings he did whilst in hospital which helped him pass the time away, all that was available to him was a pencil and some paper, the detail is amazing and I will get some scans done to send them to show his friends here.
I will be ringing him tonight and will pass your messages onto him,I am a good friend of many years standing and once worked on his team and only too pleased to help him get through this,it seems that although he has never had any heart problems in the past the stress he has been through with having to put his wife into care did not help matters, but it was the only thing he could have done under the circumstances.

Hey, Barry, quit loafing around. I need to see your wonders. It is all too quiet without you here.

Barry has been drawing up plans etc for future models and was hard at it today on my visit to his home with plans and paintings everywhere and his painting easel in front of him,I went over to his workshop today on his behalf to check that everything was ok,on the workbench were several models in various states of build some in primer, its a strange feeling going there without seeing him cutting out parts and sanding things, its like the Mary Celeste left just as he left it on that fateful day over five weeks ago even to his footprints in the sawdust on the floor !
He got the date for a minor operation today on August 9th,a miniature camera will be placed up his arm to check things,at the moment his stamina levels are down shortening his day as it has left him tired, rest is the only answer as once you get an heart attack parts of the body shut down and allow enzymes to release.
He sends his very best wishes to all of his respected solid modelling friends throughout the world and thanks you for your kindness.

Good going Barry! Nice to hear that you are starting to mend. But still take it easy for a while yet. You've contributed so much to the Group and to Solid Scale in general that you can well afford to lay back and do what those guys in white say.
