The RCAF 414 Sqn took received two Meteor T-7s to train pilots on twin engine jet operations while waiting for delivery of their newly produced CF-100. My Meteor is slightly smaller than Gordon's version that was 1/60 scale. I hope mine turn out as well as his.

Thank you, Gordon. The upside-down pictures are not a reference to your being down under. I uploaded them from my iPhone and that is how they came out. I also saw that logging in to SMM using a phone is problematic, which may explain the lack of response from new members.

Roll out 21 Aug 2023. Two were on loan to 421 Sqn from January to October 1950.

A comparison of the Meteor T.7 with the CF-100 Mk 3.

Great comparison. Why the designer spaced the engines so far apart on the Meteor is odd. That would be worst case scenario for an engine failure. Although, the pilot is better protected from unconfined engine debris if it had a major failure!

Thank you Fraser. The spacing allowed a neat sharp turn when flying vertical with one engine at idle and the other at full power.
