"Mustang Mk IV Bubble Canopy"

Now for the do or die section
Photo 1 - Remove the section of wood where the canopy will sit.
Photo 2 - Try to match the two pieces as close as possible. The smaller the gap the less filler you will need.
Photo 3 & 4. The bubble canopy tutorial is done. I hope this helps.

PS - Airliner/cargo next.

In my haste I neglected to answer your comments.

Rafa - yes this would work great with an F-86.

John - you are absolutely correct in pointing out the separate piece does make a sharper join and better defines the canopy. I may change my wicked ways and start doing separate canopies after finishing what I have on the bench. I think Harvey's Bearcat may be something to try.

Thank you, Lou. This is brilliant work. Both methods are great. Now I'm itching to have my stuff at hand and get some pieces of wood to start chipping and sanding away.

You are welcomed Rafa. I hope to see some progress soon.

Thank you Gordon.

I am wondering if I could splice this canopy/fuselage into my existing P-51 project???????

You should be able to.
