Started this yesterday . The title at this stage is ????? .
Bit of a thinking cap exercise.
It's 1/72 and it was around in 1940..

Polikarpov design?
Lou
Not Russian.
It's a twin ... I haven't done the other engine .
Unique tricycle undercarriage.
Gordon
Gotcha! French SNCASE SE 100. Strange looking bird.
Lou
That's it Lou.
Looks strange but had some interesting features . A heavy armament for one.
I am going to do it with U/C down. The Nose leg looks like a challenge.
Cheers
Gordon
Interesting subject. Looking forward to it.
Lou
I'm re doing the engines.
Trimmed down a piece of 19mm balsa dowel with a sharpened 15mm Ali tube and glueed that to the rest of the nacelle . Seems to work. More required.
I've made up the front wheel from balsa and have made up the rear wheels from a piece of 1/16 basswood cut out with a sharpened brass tube. Tyres are siutable sized "o" rings.
Have shaped some sytrene plastic for the rear doors.

Strange beast. Thanks for the updates.
Lou
That has got to be the most unconventional aircraft I've seen so far. The stabilizer was essentially the gear legs for the wheels mounted under the twin fins. Forgive me here, but I would think take off would be a bit scary. Once the tail comes off the ground, you would have a wheel barrow!.....with 1000 hp on either side.
I do look forward to seeing the completed model..
Thanks
Fraser
That's a strange looking bird, can't wait to see it on the u/c. Regards Paul J.
I'll look at sorting out the nose gear this week.
Gordon
Modifying the fins. Making them a bit thicker . Should've done it at the start.
Cheers
Gordon
Tailplane attached . Undercarriage wheels in the fins made but not attached. Propellers done. More work required on Engines.
Then work out the mechanics of the front main wheel.
Cheers
Gordon
Nice Gordon.
Lou
Rear undercarriage wheels glued to fins. Engines cleaned up a bit. Nose cleaned up . I was going to do it clear but changed my mind.
Wings and engines are not attached at this stage . I have to wave it around a bit when I come to cut out recess for Main wheel.
Main undercarriage leg from plastic sheet, Sprue and brass rod.
That's it for a week or so . Got some work on.
Cheers
Gordon
Nicely done Gordon. Always love your progress shots.
Lou
Looking good Gordon, regards Paul J.
Thank you Paul and Lou.
Back in town for a week so I might get it nearly finished.

Gordon
Where the SE 100 is at.
Main U/c done but not attached. Glazing done. Engines won't be attached until I stop waving it around.
Various framing to be applied.
Attempted to do white decal circles underneath wing roundels but found they wouldn't separate from the carrier.
Will reattempt this.
Cheers
Gordon
Looks wonderful Gordon. You did great on that cam job.
Lou
Nice job Gordon, regards Paul J.
Thank you Lou and Paul.
It's finished.
There are some small errors . The colours I used are what I had . They go close.

Wonderful model Gordon. Definitely different from anything we have seen so far. You did it justice.
Lou
That is a cool looking model. You did a great job with that rather strange nose gear! The designers sure had a out-of-the-box mind on this craft.
Fraser
Thank You Lou and Fraser.
It is a bit different. Learned a bit too.
