Now you're talking. One of my favorite and I have one in 1/144 scale. I know I might have asked before but why 1/60?
Lou
Its a bit bigger than 1/72 . Not as big as 1/48. There's no decal sets etc available so it presents a bit of a challenge.
Still haven't decided what to finish her as.
There is decal set by Richard J Caruana ( that's in the picture ) If you search on his name you will find them

My decals were home made also. I chose a simple scheme but was not able to make the small lettering on the fin nor the sign name on the side.

Looks good Lou.
Fuselage has been shaped. Everything else cut out.
Pictures to follow.

Started to put it together . Nothing is glued yet.

Nice going. I see you opened up your intake. Are you doing the same for the exhaust?

I have an idea for the jet pipe which I have done an experiment on. Seems to work.
The Ouragan just needs the stabiliser stuck , rudder filled after stabiliser. Bit of quality control on finish.
Decals printed.

Lovely finish on the Ouragan.
Lou

Still a little bit to do.

Starting to apply the decals.
Touch up required around white areas . There is a red lightning bolt still to come for each wing tank.

Wonderful finish on the Ouragan. The decals really worked out well.
Lou
I found a set of the same ones in 1/48 from my late brothers stuff. My rounders may be slightly large compared with them. Everything else seems to be OK.
I'm Pretty happy with it.

The Black bit is the paper tail pipe

Love the way you did the guns. I am still using decals ovals.
Lou
Tailpipe has been added . Bit of quality control and its now complete.
Lou, I mark the start and end point of the gun troughs and use a small needle file on compress the trough ( I use balsa for fuselage). The point is the towards the gun barrel.

I must do some test gun port next time in the shop. The Ouragan turned out great and as I said on the cook-up, the best 1st Generation Jet so far.
Lou
Thank You Lou,
Enjoyed this one. Just seemed to go together by itself.

An "Ouragan"....once again I learned about an aircraft i'd not heard of. Looks very nicely done. The aircraft does have nice lines to it.
Fraser
I like the look of it too Fraser. Looks right.

What font did you use on your number 43. I have USAF stencil but it prints normal numbers.
Lou
