Title: Propeller Blades
Post by: lastvautour on September 08, 2012, 10:29:02 PM
The following pictures show a quick and easy method of placing a twist in your prop blade. The thicker the piece of wood, the greater the twist. This one is exaggerated for dramatic effect.

The above shows connecting lines from opposite corners. remove the materiel outside the line on both sides. Leave enough thickness to allow for a hub attachment pin later. Make a pattern for the shape of the blade you want.

There you have it. Sand down to the thickness and final shape you want and attach to the hub or spinner.

Thanks again Lou. Your illustrations and method for prop construction is a lot better than mine consisting as it does on fundamentals: top view, side view, then "round it off."
