A belated Happy Canada Day (July 1) to all the Canadian readers.
Best wishes to those in the US, for a safe and Happy July 4th

Still working on completing the golf carts, but struggling with  airbrushing a quality gloss clear coat. Once I finish the golf carts, on to painting the P-51D's and starting three Halifax Mk III's at 1/72 scale for Christmas gifts.

Have been playing around with making some 3 blade propellers using brass plate and solder for the 1/72 scale Halifax Mk III which used the Bristol Hercules engine. The size of the propeller root and propeller hub diameter worry me from a strength perspective. If I make the prop out of wood, I  envision someone touching the propeller and one of the blades breaking off at the root. I've thought about trying to resin cast them, but the supplies to do this would run about $85 (cdn) to experiment with.  The Mk I and MK II hubs for the Merilin engine wouldn't worry me. But the model has to be a Mk III as it's a gift for a family whose father few in a  Mk III. Any alternate thoughts or approaches to fabricate a propeller at this scale with this type of hub?
