Title: Take two make one
Post by: lastvautour on February 05, 2012, 08:08:48 PM
PCs that is. I used some off my uncle Desiree's thought processes and fixed my 2005 PC using the power supply from my 1999 PC. I described my problem with a friend and he suggested I try it. All it took a bit of courage and some 45 year old basic electrical training to do the trick. As not all connections were the same a bit of splicing wires and voila! a working PC. Now I could not save any data but that is housed upstairs in the 2011 PC. I am so proud of this accomplishment I just had to tell someone.

Following that success I sprung $39.00 CDN for a multi-port router and here we are. Now the misses can play her games and I don't have to wait to stay in touch.

Well done Lou, the nearest I have got to working on PC's is putting the hard drives from defunct laptops into caddies so I can use them for external storage. Regards Paul J.
