Irene's last throws were felt about 6 AM 29 Aug when our power went out and stayed out about 4 hours. We were the fortunate ones as many other were devastated losing their livelyhood and and even their lives. To those families I offer my condolences.

We live near Wilmington, NC so it passed just east of us. Could have been a whole lot worse. Good thing I approach anything from the news media with scepticism or I would be a nervous wreck. When I saw it was headed for Canada with strength I knew I was passing it off to Lou. Glad all is well up there.
