The Chickasaw saw service in the RCAF but were retired below I joined the RCAF in 1966. However there was a training airframe in the hangar where I took my technical training. The Chickasaw model is cut on two planes and awaits further carving. Some initial shaping and sanding has begone.

Stabs glued in place. Next will be the tail rotor drive shaft followed by the Rotors and undercarriage.

Undercarriage attached and primed.

Thank you Gordon.

Roll out 18 June 2022. The RCAF received 12 Chickasaw. Incidentally, the RCN received the same aircraft as the H04S Horse . Decals are home made with exception of the roundels that came from Sabre Decals sheet 72-11. Although a bit brittle after 40 years, they worked well with lots of Microsol.

Note: the misses could not resist taken my likeness with my huge model.
A very nice model. I think that helicopter must have inspired cartoon characters in children books that have a helicopter in them. Kudos to your wife for getting you in the picture too!

Yes, she was the one who suggested it.
