Title: Roger's FJ-2 Fury
Post by: lastvautour on October 04, 2017, 09:25:53 PM
The FJ-2 was a modification of the StromBecKer kit from the same time period. The fuselage was sawed in half (vertical cut) and hollowed with gouges over a strong light source to guide keeping the wall thickness consistent. The J-47 jet engine, armament and internal details were all scratch built along with the pilot figure and intake duct. The wing and tail ribs were cut from 1/32" spruce plywood along with the fuel cell. The canopy was replaced with a vac-formed likeness of the FJ-2 enclosure.
