For those of you who use a news reader to read RSS news feeds, you can add the SMM Forum to your reader. The url to use is:
http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/SMF/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml;sa=recent;limit=100
If you leave the limit=100 out, you will only get the 5 most recent posts. You can set the limit to some number other than 100.
I use Google Reader (you need to have a gmail account to use it) because it is simpler to set up than some earlier readers I've used, but many web browsers have news readers now.

I'm still testing this, but it looks like a better RSS url might be:
http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/SMF/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml;limit=100
With the previous one, I wasn't seeing all the Topics.

The news reader still doesn't seem to be updating properly. I'll let everyone know if I figure this out.

It looks like these RSS feeds do work. Google bookmarks can take several hours to update them, and strangely enough, updates them at different times (I have been testing five or six variations of the url). So if you know what they are and want to use them, go ahead and give them a try.
What is an RSS?
Really Simple Syndication. It is a format that people use to feed site updates to software such as news readers. Your news reader would then tell you how many new articles there were on each of your feeds, probably with the first line or so, and you can generally click on the blurb and get taken to the actual web site.
In practice, I check the SMM Forum before my news reader updates :-)
I do use it to get updates on when my contacts post new photos to Flickr, however.

Garet, is this feature still working for you?
