New entry:  A DH-5 in 64 Squadron RFC markings. Yes, it"s true:  I've got a "thing" for those idiosyncratic British types!

1/48 scale. Conventional build of basswood, bamboo struts and mahogany prop. Rubber O-rings for tires. Painters tape strips for wing and fuselage ribbing. Home-made decals and store-bought dry-transfer numerals. Painted 7X-monofilament leader tippet for rigging. Plastic, adhesive-backed shelf paper cut with a pair of pinking shears to simulate the lacing.
And so it goes...

Nicely done model. The external aileron balance cable seems unique. I wonder what effect it had on the controls with it thrumming away interacting with the airflow over the upper wing surface?  :P

Nicely done. The stitching is very realistic. Although the rigging looks complicated, you pulled it off magnificently.
