Hello everyone,

I have not been active on the forum lately.
Just because I have spent a lot of time outside.
Mostly on the beach, swimming and throwing boomerangs, when I was not working.

Now it gets darker sooner and colder in the evening, I start spending time in my shed again.

I make Boomerangs from high grade plywood (Birch 5mm, 10 ply).
It's very expensive wood, and I was looking for a purpose for the leftovers.
As some of you will know I have made some "flatties" in the past.
Those were made from MDF, and I must admit that the new choice of wood is a delight to work with:

Some fine sanding later, and then priming.
More to come up.

Your Corsair looks great. What paint scheme are you going to use?

Hi Lou,

How have you been?

I am thinking of using the grey NAVY scheme.
I like that one the most.

Wings Palette has 103 profiles of the Corsair II at http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/a/55/3

If you need help surfing through Wings Palette, let me know.

Lou, that's perfect, thank you!

I am going with the scheme that you chose here.
I'll print it out at work and start painting tonight.
Finished sanding and priming stages yesterday.

Thank you, Biggles.

Paintjob is finished.
Added a layer of veneer and it is drying now.
Will post more pictures of the finished product later:

That "final result" looks pretty good, Jorrit.

The finished model is great Jorrit.

Jorrit, what scale is the Corsair? Are all your models the same scale? I require the info for the Model Of the Year post.

Lou

Thanks for your comments, guys.

Lou, it's a 1:100 scale and all my models are different scales ( depending on how big I print them on paper)

Does your Corsair have dihedral build in?
