Title: 1/72 Hawker Sea Hawk Start 03 Aug 2020 Complete 22 Aug 2020
Post by: lastvautour on August 22, 2020, 07:58:09 PM
Templates have been cut and pieces rough cut. Now to figure out how to carve out that thick wing center section. I have the 1/48 Hawker Hunter and the 1/144 Banshees as guides.

Gordon's comments: Looking good Lou

Exhaust pipes fared into the trailing edge of wing. Next, primer.

Sea Hawk is in the paint shop.

Fraser's Comments: Lovely detail in the nacelles and exhaust of the engines.
My response: I had practice with my Banshees.
Fraser's Comments: Yes I guess they are very similar.

Roll out 22 Aug 2020. Home decals with Lifelike extra dark sea gray and Tamiya sky. A joy to build once I figure out how to do the wings.
