Title: 1/48 Avian Gyroplane
Post by: lastvautour on March 19, 2019, 12:57:08 AM
The latest from Guy is this excellent small project in 1/48 scale. I quote Guy:
Hi Lou, how are you? Sending a few pics. of my last model. The Avian was a project by engineer from the Avro Arrow. They called it a "gyroplane".They built 4 prototype, ser. #5 was the production that went sadly to the U.S. as N656JT. A Co. named Pegasus, then named Pegasus MkIII. My model is in 1/48 scale: bass wood, straight pin (from my wife),smallest brass tubing and 0.010 plastic sheet,1/32 plywood and wheels/ prop. from scrap box. A small model for me to build, but was relaxing and fun to build. Now 2 Huskies in 1/48 next... Cheers. Guy.

Nicely done Guy.
I agree with Fraser about the tow bar.

I have a plan for the Hiller Copter which I might try a bit later on.

cheers
