So many models so little time. I finally completed the Loch Class Frigate on 1 Sept 08. Currently on the bench.

1/144 HMCS Bonaventure - ship mast approx 75% done
1/144 Eight Banshee aircraft scrapped due to incorrect drawings - a second prototype with correct drawing is in block form
1/144 Tracker - no progress beyond sanding and shaping wing/nacelles
1/72 Aircobra 50% done with final sanding and some contour shaping to be done. Balsa construction.
1/32 Hudson bomber fuselage in final sanding. Should be ready for matting wings before Oct.
1/32 EC-120B new project started today. Helicopter is the type used to ferry my daughter to her new workplace and transport  her and other geologists to drilling sites in rocky mountains. The Banshee drawings made me mad, but even more it made me cautious. The EC-120 drawing are also off. The three views are not quite in scale with each others on the same picture. Back to the old paper and pen for this one.
Stalled projects - 1/32 Tutor, 1/24 Beaver, 1/32 Bolingbroke, 1/24 BAe Hawk Mk1, 1/32 T-33
(3 plastic kits on the go)
I joins several Yahoo groups on line, even one that will teach me how to carve solid wood models.
There just is not enough hours in the day!!!!

Still stalled on many projects, but some moving ahead:

  • 1/72 Polikarpov I-16 about 50% finished.  Needs fillets and other details.
  • 1/72 PRU Spitfire complete except for final clear coat and tail wheel
  • 1/72 Bristol Spaceplanes Ascender:still just wings and fuselage.  Needs engines, etc.
  • 1/72 Bristol LRQ-1 parts rough-cut
  • 1/48 Speed Spitfire: still just a fuselage. Found the lost wing blank.
  • Comet PT-9: awaiting final torpedo tube before rest of construction continues.  Hull and cabin are complete except for weapons and details
  • 10" wingspan flying Hawker Hurricane (balsa-tissue): stalled, still just fuselage, stab, and rudder frames, no wings
