Lou posted the following in the November 2008 Ping, which I've copied here to start a new topic:

Most everyone is a busy bee this month. I have just finished a second display unit for my solids. It currently holds my car collection unit the upper shelf is dry.

Also my work area needs some cleaning up. I keep loosing things in there. The two white boxes will become 1/72 and 1/144 scale hangars for photo shoots. Plastics and wood happily mingle together with no problems.

It's always fun to peek at other people's workshops!

The solid collection has been placed in the newly painted display cases.  Things are a lot neater and organized by scale with the 1/32 being divided into props, jets and civilians.

I should have posted my cabinet info to this post. Oh well! The smaller of the two cases does nicely for my 1/144 scale collection with some room to grow. More shelves could be added. The larger currently holds 21 WWII ID+ models and room for another 8 single engine types. I have some glass shelving left over from another project that will make room for at least another 30 models.

Moving these sub-categories to their own space allows me to place all the 1/72 scale models in one area. More picture will follow when all has been relocated.

All WWII ID+ are safely hangared. 21 altogether but some are not original WWII ID models as they came out too late to be in the program. The Hellcat and Firefly are built in the same manner.

Lou I think that all your models are real beauties. The only comment that I'm sure others will agree to is that they remind me of the set of 350 that were recently auctioned off. Although they apparently went for about 100 000 lbs. I know that you are primarily in the hobby for the fun of it. Thank goodness!

I doubt that my collection would ever generate 100,000 £  . Maybe 100,000 lira which is about $75.00 Cdn. Thanks for the vote of confidence Cliff.

A great collection to be proud of Lou, and they look great in the cases. When pricing up these collections it's a good job they are not charged by the time it takes to make each one. Best regards Paul J.
