Last model for a while. Got another winter project to tackle:  I bought several old, neglected, bamboo fly rods on eBay recently that I'd like to try my hand at restoring. This might take a while, but I'll continue to follow everybody's progress here..

Anyway, here goes...

And the rest...Merry Christmas all, and stay well! ;)

Another wonderful creation Jim. What scale is it?

Lou
PS Good luck with the fishing rods.

Jim

Thank you, Lou.
I think the scale works out to 1:70. I seem to be trending smaller!
Take care and enjoy your holidays!

It looked smaller than usual with the ruler in the photo. Happy holidays to you also.

Boomerang

Well done ! A great model.

How did you do the camouflage on the top wing ?

Cheers
Gordon

Enjoy your holidays and the restoration of the rods

Jim

Hey there, Gordon.

Pretty simple, really. A green bottom-coat, with a brush tip-speckled tan top layer over it. Where I got over-exuberant with the tan speckling, I went back over it again with a bit of green brush-speckling.
And so it goes...

That is a very pretty model. The paint scheme must have been fun to do. The camouflage would work for attacks above, but the lower part probably was to avoid getting shot down from his own side😃
It's a fun model to look at. Have a safe and happy holiday season!
