Title: F7F-3 Tigercat
Post by: FlyingS on October 25, 2022, 10:14:58 AM
Parts cut out and red to start making saw dust. The -3 Tigercat was the Navy carrier version but ended up going to the Marines because they proved to be too big for the carriers of the day. The photograph is from 1947, notice the wooden flight deck. When the Navy went to Jets they ripped up the wood decks so the Navy did away with the wood flight decks. (That's my father standing at the tail section.

The finished product. The markings match the plane in the previous photo. 1/72 scale (8.5" wingspan)
