Amazing what approach they took to safeguard those ships. Very interesting reading. Thank you for the link Garet. This falls in line with those strange cam jobs on some of those lead aircraft in WWII.

  There were some experiments with USN aircraft camouflage by McClelland Barclay an American Artist.

   Used on a Buffalo, Devastator and a Vindicator.
