Ray and garet, what drawing are you using for your PT boats. Are they the same? Are they the same scale?

Lou,
Both of us are using the Comet PT-9 plans:

The model has a 10 inch hull, actual was 70 feet, for 1/84 scale. PT-9 was a Scott Paine British Power Boat Co. 70' model.
I have drawings for a simplified PT-10, which was a ELCO (Bayonne, NJ) 70' model. They look very similar.

PT-09 was purchased from the Scott Paine British Power Boat Co by Elco and shipped to the US. Elco copied it for Pt's 10-19 then decided to lengthen it by 7 feet. Then built them as the 77 Elco MTB. They are more commonly know for the Elco 80 PT, as in PT-109. Ironically most of the Elco 77s went to England. They were a much better design for Atlantic operations. Enclosed Pilot house and turrets as well as a deeper bow made them much more suited for cold, rough weather use than the open 80s built for the South Pacific.
